Where Are They Now: Aubrey Clements (Bobo)

Where Are They Now?
Meet Aubrey Clements (Bobo), an alumna of Oneida City School District, Class of 2007.
Some of her favorite memories from Oneida are rooted in the athletic teams she was part of. Being involved in sports gave her much more than competition—it provided a strong sense of belonging. The bonds Aubrey formed with her teammates were built through practices, shared victories, and challenging losses. Together, they pushed one another, offered support, and learned the importance of working toward a common goal.
Her coaches at Oneida played a significant role in shaping who she became. They challenged her to push beyond her limits, held her accountable, and believed in her potential even during moments of self-doubt. Through their guidance, Aubrey developed discipline, resilience, and a strong commitment to giving her best effort each day. These lessons extended far beyond the field or court and continue to influence her long after her time in Oneida.
After graduating high school, Aubrey went on to play volleyball at Siena College. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and later completed her Master’s degree in Professional School Counseling at the College of Saint Rose.
Aubrey has been a school counselor in the Schenectady City School District for 12 years and has most recently served at Paige Elementary School for the past four years. “I absolutely love working with this age group and love going to work each day!”
To future graduates, Aubrey leaves this advice: "My advice to future graduates is to truly make the most of your time in high school. Say yes to opportunities, even the ones that push you outside your comfort zone. Get involved, build relationships, and don’t rush through the moments that matter.
Enjoy the experiences—the wins, the challenges, the friendships, and even the hard days—because they all shape who you become. High school goes by faster than you think, and the memories you make along the way will stay with you long after graduation."
