MVCC Scholarships (Deadlines Vary)
Click here for the Mohawk Valley Community College Foundation Scholarship Application. MVCC offers several scholarships for prospective students, however, you must apply! For a listing of scholarships, click here. Each scholarship has a specified application deadline and specific criteria for eligibility. Please check the application deadline carefully before you apply to ensure you will have enough time to complete the process. Please also read the eligibility criteria carefully – if you have questions about the criteria, please contact the Office of Institutional Advancement at MVCC at the Utica Campus, 1101 Sherman Drive, Payne Hall room 220 or call (315) 792-5555. The office is open from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The New York State Higher Education Services Corporation (HESC) is the State's student financial aid agency, helping people pay for college by administering 19 student financial aid programs, including TAP, a highly successful College Savings program, and offering guidance to students, families and counselors.   • Credit card or bank account information required
  • Provides "exclusive" information

Scams: "Phishing" & "Pharming"
"Phishing"

  • Unsolicited emails that bear the logo of your bank or credit card
  • Appear legitimate but are traps to lure you into giving your personal or account information

NEVER give out Social Security, credit card, or bank account numbers to unsolicited emails or calls

"Pharming"

  • Unsolicited emails that encourage you to visit a website or click on suspicious links
  • Make sure your inbox spam filters are up to date
