Oneida CSD Recognizes Senior Scholars and Retiring Staff

Oneida CSD Recognizes Senior Scholars and Retiring Staff at Annual Academic Assembly
The Senior Academic Assembly marked the first opportunity to formally recognize and celebrate the academic accomplishments of the Class of 2026. This longstanding tradition at Oneida honors the hard work, perseverance, and commitment to academic excellence demonstrated by our seniors throughout their high school careers.
The senior class has achieved a great deal over the past four years, both in the classroom and through extracurricular activities. Along the way, they have faced significant challenges, including the disruptions caused by the pandemic. Despite those obstacles, this class has shown remarkable resilience and determination.
64 students were recognized for earning an average of 85 or higher for consecutive marking periods, representing approximately 55% of the senior class.
Our seniors have also taken advantage of many advanced academic opportunities. An impressive 105 out of 116 seniors have participated in one or more of the following programs: Advanced Placement courses, RIT Project Lead the Way, BOCES New Ventures, BOCES New Visions, MVCC college courses, the BOCES National Technical Honor Society, the Oneida National Honor Society, and the Art National Honor Society.
In addition to celebrating our students, this assembly also honors the professional dedication of our retiring faculty and staff members. This year, we recognize Mr. Anderelli, Mrs. O’Connell, Mrs. Haggas, and Mr. Gallagher, who will be retiring in June. We thank them for their years of commitment to our students and school community, and we wish them health, happiness, and fulfillment in their retirement.
