This week, we’re shining a spotlight on 6th Grade Math Teacher Angie Sayles!

Mrs. Sayles was nominated for consistently going above and beyond for her students, colleagues, and our school community. Not only is she an amazing math teacher, but she wears many hats throughout the district!

She leads the National Junior Honor Society, serves on the SEL Committee, and provides tutoring to help students reach their full potential. She also helped organize an 8th Grade Dance for students last year and is always willing to lend a helping hand and support both new and veteran teachers.

Her nominator said, "I am honored to nominate a truly incredible staff member who goes above and beyond to support our students, staff, and entire school community. She organizes and leads numerous events focused on making our students feel supported, valued, and celebrated, and she also initiated a successful fundraiser that brings in significant funds to directly benefit our students. She is always willing to help teachers whenever and wherever she can, bringing a warm, caring, and positive presence to everything she does.

What makes her especially deserving of this recognition is the countless hours of her own time she dedicates to making our district a better place for everyone."
