5th Grade Track & Field Day Success

Durhamville Elementary's fifth graders recently spent the day at Oneida High School for Track & Field Day, enjoying a variety of activities that encouraged teamwork, friendly competition, and plenty of fun.
Students were divided into teams made up of children from all fifth-grade classes, giving them the chance to work together, meet new classmates, and build friendships. Experiences like this are especially valuable as students prepare for their transition to middle school next year.
Beyond the races and events, the day was about learning to support one another, work as a team, and step outside of their comfort zones. It was great to see so much encouragement, sportsmanship, and school spirit throughout the day.
A huge thank you goes out to our staff members who helped make the event possible. From organizing activities to running events and cheering students on, it truly took a team effort. Special thanks to our PE teachers for all of their hard work planning and coordinating a day that our students will remember for years to come.
