Digital Footprints and Daily Kindness: A School Refresher at OSMS

Just before the break, Principal Mrs. Taranto and Assistant Principal Mr. Case gave an important refresher presentation to OSMS students on respect, responsibility, bullying in all its forms, hygiene, digital footprints, and Chromebook care.
Students learned about different types of bullying, including cyber and physical, and the difference between ongoing bullying and a single unkind act. The message was clear: showing kindness and respect, helping peers feel safe, and keeping each other protected are essential for everyone to learn and thrive.
The presentation also highlighted the impact of our digital footprints. Students were reminded to think carefully about what they post online and how much they share—because even stories or Snapchats that disappear can be saved with screenshots.
A video on digital footprints reinforced the importance of being responsible online, and students were reminded to take care of their Chromebooks, treating them with respect.
This was a wonderful refresher for all students to reflect on as we head into the break, encouraging everyone to finish the school year with kindness, respect, and positivity!
