Oneida High School Hosts First Annual Student Job Fair

Oneida High School recently hosted its first annual Student Job Fair, providing students with an invaluable opportunity to connect with local businesses, explore summer and part-time employment, and gain insight into potential future career paths.
The idea for the job fair originated with our School Business Official, Mr. Wares. With his vision, School Community Liaison Mrs. Myatt and Director of Counseling Mr. Grossmann took the lead in bringing the event to life. A dedicated team of staff members helped ensure its success: School Nurse Mrs. Moore assisted students in completing the necessary documents to obtain working papers, Teacher Kristin Myatt designed event signage, and Custodian Rachel Swingel prepared the space by setting up tables and chairs. This collaborative effort highlights the strength of our Oneida High School community.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to the local businesses that participated and made this event possible:
Summer Youth Employment – Elen Bowe
Tri-Valley YMCA – Holly, Hank, and Suzanne Kopcho
Nicky Doodles – Emily Wilkins
Happy2Assist – Carrie Earl
Old Erie Golf Course – Matt Woodcock
Camp Lookout – Jim Burton
United States Marine Corps – Sgt. Knerr
Oneida Public Library – Meg Gillander
McDonald’s
Turning Stone Casino – Susan Torrell-Szarek and Tracy Noble
Events like this are instrumental in helping students explore their interests, develop professional connections, and prepare for life beyond high school. We look forward to making this an annual tradition and continuing to support the career development of our students.
