Oneida Students Excel in Science Olympiad Competitions

Founded in 1984, Science Olympiad is the nation’s leading team STEM competition, providing standards-based challenges to more than 6,700 teams at 450 tournaments across all 50 states.
High School Team Success
Our Oneida High School Science Olympiad Team competed against 33 teams on January 31 at Le Moyne College. Under the leadership of coach Kevin Goggins, the team achieved outstanding results:

Middle School Team’s Outstanding First Year
Our Middle School’s new Science in the 21st Century class competed against 19 teams on March 7 at North Syracuse Junior High School.
Teacher and coach Karyn Lachut led the team in their first year ever competing, and the students delivered an exceptional performance. In the ten events they entered, every student earned a medal.
