Modeling Air Temperature and Atmospheric Pressure in Science Class at OHS

Students in Mr. Goggins’ science class at Oneida High School engaged in a hands-on investigation using red and blue “pressure blocks” to model how air temperature and density affect atmospheric pressure. In this activity, the blocks represented parcels of air, with red blocks symbolizing warm air and blue blocks representing cold air. Through this model, students explored how differences in temperature and density influence atmospheric behavior.
