Oneida High School Students Learn CPR in PE

Students at Oneida High School are gaining valuable, real-world skills as part of their Physical Education curriculum by learning cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). This hands-on instruction equips students with the knowledge and confidence needed to respond effectively in emergency situations.
During the lesson, students practiced proper chest compression techniques, learned how to assess emergency scenarios, and discussed the importance of acting quickly when someone experiences cardiac distress. Guided by trained staff, students worked collaboratively to apply these lifesaving skills using CPR training mannequins in a safe and supportive environment.
These experiences ensure that students leave Oneida High School with practical knowledge that could one day help save a life—reinforcing our commitment to student safety, preparedness, and lifelong learning.
