Here is another update for our community—keeping you informed about our progress remains a top priority. We appreciate your continued support as our teams work hard to restore Oneida High School safely and efficiently.

Campus & Site Work
Crews are nearing completion on several major outdoor projects. Cleanup of the outfall area near the tennis courts is wrapping up, and paving is scheduled to be finished before Thanksgiving. Sidewalk and gutter work is also nearing completion. Electrical site preparation continues as the district prepares for the transition from temporary to permanent power service.

Building Systems
Mechanical and plumbing work remains underway. The boilers are operational, and the remaining components, such as insulation and diffusers, are expected to arrive later this month. Temperature control systems are also being updated, with new controllers ready for installation.

Our electrical teams have partnered with National Grid to install the new transformer and service equipment. Testing is scheduled to take place throughout the month. The new switchgear arrived and has been installed in the new electrical room. Fire alarm system upgrades and carbon monoxide detection improvements are also progressing.

Interior Work
Construction of the new electrical room is ongoing, with lighting, feeder installations, and door replacements in process. The district has selected new finishes for cabinetry replacements, and tile repairs in the corridor will begin shortly. Elevator updates are also underway as contractors address interior shaft repairs required for final inspection.

District Prep Work
While contractors complete technical repairs, district staff will begin painting classrooms, waxing floors, and preparing learning spaces for the eventual return of equipment and furniture. Technology staff will also receive a timeline for when computer labs can be reassembled so their systems can be reconnected and tested.
