Where Are They Now: Kate Miller

Meet Kate Miller, Oneida City School District Alumna, Class of 2014!
Kate fondly remembers her time in Mrs. O’Connell’s chorus room — a place always filled with positivity, laughter, and some of her favorite people. Those moments remain among her most cherished memories from her years at OCSD.
After graduating from Oneida High School, Kate attended SUNY Oswego, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Childhood Education (Grades 1–6) in 2017. She went on to complete her Master’s Degree in Childhood Education (Grades 1–6) from SUNY Oswego in 2022.
Today, Kate continues to share her passion for learning as a 4th-grade teacher at St. Patrick’s School in Oneida. Her journey is a wonderful example of how OCSD graduates carry forward the district’s values of learning, connection, and community pride.
To future graduates, Kate offers this advice: “Don’t compare yourself to anyone else. Your timeline to success may not look like someone else’s, and that’s ok. Just keep moving and growing.”
