NYSED Assistant Commissioner and MOBOCES Officials Visit Oneida Schools

New York State Education Department (NYSED) Assistant Commissioner David Frank visited the Oneida City School District to tour Oneida High School and Oneida Middle School. He was joined by OCSD Superintendent Matt Carpenter, Assistant Superintendent Dr. Stacey Tice, OHS Principal Brian Gallagher, OHS Assistant Principal Erin Belanger, MOBOCES Superintendent Scott Budelmann, Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction Dr. Matthew Williams, and Deputy Superintendent for Finance & Operations Lisa Decker.
During the visit, Mr. Frank met with administrators, staff, and students to discuss the start of the new school year and learn more about the district’s instructional approach, including both asynchronous and synchronous learning components. The walkthrough provided an opportunity for staff and administrators to share feedback on their priorities and needs, as well as the supports they hope to see from NYSED moving forward.
This visit was a positive opportunity for the district, as it allowed state and local leaders to see firsthand the dedication of Oneida’s staff and the enthusiasm of its students. Bringing together representatives from NYSED, MOBOCES, and district leadership reinforced the strong partnerships that support student learning and growth.
