OHS Graduation Weather Update 2020

Due to the projected weather for Saturday, we are moving the ceremony to Sunday, June 28, 2020.  Please see the schedule below, which takes into account the projected weather reports.  The Rain date will be Monday, June 29, 2020, with the same new schedule noted below.

ALLEN - CORTES (Student Last name)              4:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. (arrive at 3:45 p.m.)

COULTER - HART (Student Last name)             5:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. (arrive at 4:45 p.m..)

HATCH - LOZIPONE (Student Last name)         6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. (arrive at 5:45 p.m.)

LYMAN - RUNICE (Student Last name)              7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. (arrive at 6:45 p.m.)

SANDLASS - ZEHR (Student Last name)            8:00 p.m. -  9:00 p.m. (arrive at 7:45 p.m.)

Due to Executive Order from the Governor’s Office, the following guidelines must be implemented: in order to address the limit of 150 people allowed at an outdoor ceremony with social distancing:

 Each graduate will receive four tickets for guests

 Students and guests should arrive no earlier than 30 minutes before their scheduled graduation.

 Chairs for guests will be set up ahead of time in groups of four and spaced six feet apart. We ask that guests not move chairs to allow for social distancing and to remain with your family unit. (NO lawn chairs will be allowed).

 Everyone must remain seated in your family area throughout the ceremony.

 Masks must be worn

 Upon arrival please park in the parking lot designated for your son or daughter’s graduation group and wait for the School Resource Officer or City of Oneida Police Officer to give the clearance for folks to exit cars

 No handshaking or close contact

 Graduates will be spaced six feet apart in the front

 Sanitizer and extra masks will be available for those who may need a mask

 Parents may come up by the cones set up when your child is called to the stage for their diploma and you must exit the photo area following the one way markings.

 After the ceremony, we ask that everyone exit and not congregate so we can begin accepting guests for the next graduation.

 Tickets will be color- coded for the ceremony you are assigned. Tickets cannot be exchanged or traded to allow us to keep the ceremonies to the required number allowable.

 One vehicle per family, please contact the principal if there are extenuating circumstances.

All students are required to wear a cap and gown to the ceremony and a mask. Please contact the office at 315-363-6901, Option “0” immediately, if you have not taken care of this requirement.
