Google 101 Training for Parents
Posted on 07/08/2020

As we plan for instruction in the fall, we do so with parents as partners in mind. Through the recent Thoughtexchange survey parents requested for more ways to help their child. That’s why, for the first time, we are inviting parents to participate in our online Google trainings!  You can learn how to better help your child work in Google Classroom, how to create slides, docs, or access their school email.

Materials can be found on the district website under Parent Resources > iLearning Parent Resources > Google Support.  https://sites.google.com/ocsdny.org/ocsdilearning/home . A list of the Google 101 training sessions can also be found in the PDF below.

All training sessions will be offered through Google Meet. Type https://meet.google.com  in your Chrome web browser. You must be signed into a Google Account to join. Join using the nickname Oneida2020. As a courtesy to the trainer and other classmates, please have your microphone muted at the beginning of class. Please test Google Meet before the start of class.

Miss a class? Don’t worry, trainings will be recorded and later posted on the iLearning Parent Resources site under Google Support.

Oneida’s mission statement is To Educate, Inspire, and Empower students. We want to continue to partner with parents in this mission!
