Dear Community Members and Families:

The Federal Government has put aside American Rescue Plan Act Funds  for school districts to provide support for students by  addressing the risk of  learning loss due to COVID -19.

Funds may be used to for the following :

  • Summer programming
  • Supplemental after school programming
  • Technology purchases
  • Discretionary funding to address individual needs of each building
  • Other activities for continuity of services
  • Resources for in- person learning
  • Hiring/layoff prevention as well as needed PPE and or staffing as a result of the pandemic

Every teacher was provided with an opportunity to apply for funding to support student learning and learning loss.  A district-wide committee screened all proposals to ensure that they met the criteria to help support learning, address student social emotional well- being, provide the needed technologies and to ensure students have a smooth transition back to school.

These projects are being made available for community input.  Please let us know your thoughts.

The projects below reflect a focus being on classroom intervention, afterschool programming, clubs and enrichment to assist students and ensure success for all.

Thank you for your time and input.

Sincerely,

Dr. Kathleen M. Davis

Interim Superintendent
