Greetings Oneida City School District Community!

This week’s Superintendent's Video Blast focuses on Oneida High School, where Mr. Schneider's Participation in Government class is discussing the recent memo sent out by the New York State Education Department, requiring all schools to discontinue the use of Native American-inspired mascots and team names by the end of the 2022-2023 school year. In this video, Oneida High School seniors discuss the directive, look into previous bills on this topic introduced in NYS legislature and suggest possibilities going forward.

Best,
Matt Carpenter, Superintendent
