Mark Barbano, of Oneida, is serving his first five-year term on the Board of Education. He is a 65 year district resident. Mark is a graduate of SUNY Cortland with a B.S. degree in Economics. He also did graduate coursework at the former SUNY IT in Utica. He worked 36 years for the New York State Department of Labor as one of only 10 Regional Economists in the Department. Mark was a 20 year member of the Advisory Board for Occupational Education for the Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES.
Mark and his wife, Robyn, are both graduates of Oneida High School. They have four sons that are also graduates of Oneida High School.
Heather Denby

Heather Denby, of Oneida, is serving her first five-year term on the Board of Education. Heather graduated from Oneida and attended Seneca Street Elementary School. A 33 year district resident, Heather graduated from Saint Bonaventure University with a B.A. in Spanish and Psychology, and a Philosophy/Pre-Law minor. Heather attended the Middlebury College Spanish Immersion Program, and she earned her Juris Doctor from SUNY Buffalo Law School. Heather currently practices in Oneida as a matrimonial/family law attorney, and is the Vice-President of the Madison County Bar Association.
Heather and her husband, Derek, have two children enrolled in the Oneida City School District.
Nadine Flynn

Nadine Flynn, of Oneida, is serving her first five-year term on the Board of Education. She is a graduate of Oneida High School and lived in Oneida for 20 years before moving to Syracuse. Nadine recently moved back to the area 4 years ago with her family. She graduated from Syracuse University with a bachelor's degree in social work. Nadine is also employed at Syracuse University.
Nadine and her husband, Mark, have five children with two of them currently enrolled in the district.
Kurt Gormley

Kurt Gormley of Oneida, NY is serving his first term on the Board of Education. He is a 24 year district resident. Kurt holds a B.S. in Chemistry from St. Lawrence University and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Buffalo. Kurt currently has a practice in Sherrill, NY and is a member of various dental societies and local organizations.
Kurt and his wife, Kim have two daughters enrolled in the Oneida City School District.
Martin Kelly

Martin Kelly, of Oneida, is serving his first five-year term on the Board of Education. Martin is a 15-year district resident and is a graduate of Le Moyne College with a B.A. in History. He also earned his M.S. Ed and later completed his teaching certification at Le Moyne College. Martin is currently working as a teacher in the Cazenovia School District.
Martin and his wife, Megan, have a daughter and a son enrolled in the Oneida City School District.
James Maio

Jim Maio, of Oneida, is serving his first five-year term on the Board of Education. He is presently the Board’s President. Jim is an 18-year district resident and is a local graduate of Fabius-Pompey High School and later a graduate of St. Bonaventure University, earning as BA in Psychology. He then continued his education at St. Bonaventure, earning a MS.Ed in Counseling. Jim has worked at Mohawk Valley Community College for past 15 years where he began his career as a counselor. He currently serves as the Dean for Student Support. In this role, Jim has oversight over many of the support services for students. Jim also serves on the Tri-Valley YMCA Board of Directors.
Jim and his wife Kim have daughter who is enrolled in the district.
Brad Myatt

Brad Myatt, of Oneida, is serving his first term on the
Board of Education. He is presently the Board's Vice President. A 35 year district resident, Brad is a graduate of Oneida High School and attended Seneca
Street Elementary School. He is a graduate of Siena College with a Bachelor's of Arts
in History degree. He also earned a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Sage Graduate
School. He has been an
educator in New York since 2006. He is currently a middle school Social Studies teacher at Vernon-Verona-Sherrill Central School District, where he is
head of the Social Studies department. He has served on the City of Oneida Parks and
Recreation Commission and currently volunteers with the St. Patrick's basketball program
and serves as Vice President of the Oneida Dolphins Swim Team Parent Board.
Brad and his wife,
Kristin, have two daughters who are both enrolled in the Oneida City School
District.
