- In collaboration with the Oneida Family YMCA and Oneida Healthcare, North Broad Street students and families were invited to the YMCA on May 16th for the 2019 Healthy Kids Day! This event was designed to give families opportunities to experience new ways to have fun together through activities that promote healthy lifestyles, including:
- Youth Fitness and TRX
- Open Swim
- Inflatable Obstacle Course
- Bounce House
- Racquetball
- Healthy Snacks
- Family Circuit Training
- Family Meal Prep
Many local vendors were on hand to share important information including the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Oneida Healthcare, The Madison County Sheriff's Department, and Madison County Department of Social Services.
The evening was completed with a presentation from fourth and fifth grade students in the Operation Fit Kids program. The goal for this program is to provide a healthy environment where kids can come and learn the importance of health, exercising and how to improve on any deficient areas such as nutrition, physical fitness and social behaviors.
We thank the Oneida Family YMCA and Oneida Healthcare for their partnership! This event was a huge success! We look forward to continuing this event in 2020!
