Works Cited Guidelines - MLA
1. It is a separate page at the end of your paper.
2. 12 pt. Times New Roman font.
3. Center and capitalize the words Works Cited one inch from the top of the page.
4. Double space the whole page.
5. Put the sources in alphabetical order according to the first important word of each entry.
6. The first line of each entry is NOT indented, but the 2nd and all following lines for each entry are indented.

MLA In-Text Citations
An in-text citation is a short reference found in parentheses ( ) within your paper or in the text. It leads your reader to the source of your quotation, paraphrase or summary. It directs the reader to the works cited page at the end of your paper, and it helps him/her to research and find the same source you used.
Example: Our country was founded 87 years ago on the concept of equality for all men (Lincoln 1).
An in-text citation:
1. Is in parentheses ( ).
2. Follows the idea or quotation you used from someone else's work.
3. Uses the 1st important word of the works cited entry and the page where you found the information (if available).
