Dear Willard Prior Families,

I hope you are enjoying a relaxing summer while also preparing for the return to school in September. As you know, we will begin the school year in a different way this year - engaging in a hybrid instructional model or virtual learning model depending on what works best for your family. Below you will find your teacher assignment, as well as your hybrid aa/bb schedule. If you would like or are planning to choose a full virtual learning option or would like information regarding that learning platform, please call Mrs. Ferrucci in our Willard Prior school office.

I know that you probably still have many questions about our new learning model this school year. We will be sharing more guidelines and procedural information in the next week or two. Thank you for being patient as we work through these new routines together to ensure the safety and well being of our students throughout their entire school day.

Our devoted staff are already planning and have been preparing for your child(ren) this summer by engaging in numerous professional development sessions around technology, curriculum and student engagement. In whatever setting you choose for your child, you can expect rich and varied educational experiences that you have already come to expect from our dedicated and knowledgeable Willard Prior faculty and staff.

This year, we are welcoming many new staff members to Willard Prior in a variety of roles. We welcome our new 5th grade teacher, Miss Casey Woodcock, AIS Math teacher (shared with Seneca Street), Mrs. Michelle Crowley, and a new Physical Education teacher for Grades 2 and 3 (shared with Seneca Street Elementary) Coach Kayla Joslin. We also welcome additional Special Education aides in Mrs. Blom and Ms. Jones rooms; Mrs. Cochran-Garbry, Mrs. Dawn Reising, and Mrs. Susan Hartley. Special Education aides, Mrs. Danette Allen and Ms. Stephanie Plantz will join Mr. Weaver's room. In addition, Mrs. Amy Brodock will be our new pre-k aide this year! We are fortunate to have such talented individuals working alongside our teachers to support our students!

I am so excited to greet our new and returning students on Thursday,September 10th for the BB group and on Monday, September 14th for our AA group. It remains an honor and privilege to serve as your principal. Please reach out via phone or email if you have any questions.

Stay well,

Mrs. Moira Yardley, Principal
