Absences
If a student is absent from school, he/she must bring in a written excuse on the day that he/she returns to school. If a student is absent for more than three consecutive days, he/she must bring in a note from a doctor outlining the reason for the extended absence. Parents, in the event that your child is absent, please call the school nurse, Mrs. Dailey, at (315) 363-8065. You may leave a message if it is before or after school hours.
Arrival
We encourage students to arrive to school by 8:45am so they can prepare for the day. Busses generally arrive around 8:35am. Breakfast is served from 8:30am-8:50am. The day begins at 8:55am with announcements. Students may arrive at school anytime after 8:30am. Walkers/student drop-offs may enter the building through the main front office entrance.
Dismissal
Students who are being picked up by a parent or approved adult will be dismissed at 3:00pm. Please enter the farthest driveway and follow the line along for the drive through pick up of children. A photo ID is required for pickup. Students who are riding the school bus will be dismissed at 3:00pm as buses arrive and are called.
Playground
Students are always invited back to play on the playground after school hours with adult supervision.
Student Pickup
If you are picking up a student during the school day for an appointment, please sign them out in the DV Main Office. A photo ID is required for pickup and any adult picking a student up MUST be on the approved pickup list. If you wish to make changes to the approved pickup list, please contact the DV Main Office.
