Hello, Hawks!
My name is Megan Rose and I am honored to be the principal of Durhamville Elementary School!
I have worked for the Sidney Central School District for the past 15 years. I have held the roles of LTA (licensed teaching assistant), physical education teacher, instructional coach, instructional specialist, and assistant principal. During my years at Sidney, I spent a great deal of my time working on district committees, researching and developing new curriculum initiatives while creating and supporting growth opportunities for students and teachers.
I believe that every decision should be centered around doing what is best for kids. In order to do this, I need to get to know families and how the community functions. I believe in taking the time to build relationships and making personal connections with people. It is through these relationships that we will learn to work together and move forward as a team with a common goal of doing what is best for all students.
