COVID-19
  • School Closure / Coronavirus (COVID-19)

This web page was created to provide resources and keep the Oneida City School District community informed. This page will continue to be updated as new and relevant information emerges, so please check back regularly.

On behalf of the Oneida City School District, we hope you and your families are remaining safe and doing your best to follow guidance regarding measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 within our community. Events have continued to unfold, and we recognize that this raises questions about potential impacts on students, families and our full community. Where answers exist, we will work quickly to provide them. However, we anticipate that many other questions
will require additional research and/or consultation with local, state or federal officials.

  • Spring Vacation

  • The district was notified on March 30th at 4:56 PM from the NYS Education Department that all “districts must continue to provide remote instruction for students, meals for students, and child care for essential workers every weekday between April 1, 2020 and April 14, 2020, even if the district is scheduled to be on spring break during that time.” This decision can be found in Governor Cuomo’s executive order 202.11. As a result, our teachers will continue to provide instructional from April 3-April 29.
