"Thanks for the Memories":  Oneida History

This project was jointly funded by the Oneida City School District and the Madison-Oneida School Library System. Five long time Oneida residents volunteered their time to come to the high school one evening. Five seniors from Mr. Thomas Maher's Economics classes volunteered their time that evening to serve as recorders. While the senior citizens reminisced, the Seniors of the Class of 2000 captured their thoughts using word processing.

Later these memories were linked to pictures of Oneida in the past that had been scanned from a variety of sources. We hope that you will enjoy reading their recollections as much as we enjoyed capturing them for you. Our senior citizens are rich resources and their memories bring a personal face to theeconomic history of the city of Oneida.
