2010-2011 Schedules and Schedule Changes:

Schedules for 10th-12th graders will be mailed Wednesday, August 25th.  Schedule changes will be on Monday, August 30th, and Tuesday, August 31st, from 9am-2:00pm. There will be no counselors in the office until Monday, August 30th so please do not call the office prior to this date.  The best and most direct way to request a schedule change is to email your counselor directly or you may also come to the office on the scheduled dates.

The guidance office will be closed on September 1st and 2nd so the counselors can attend staff training.

9th graders will receive their schedules at 9th grade orientation on Wednesday, August 19th, @ 6:30pm. 

What's the Best Strategy for Getting Accepted to the College of Your Choice?

According to a recent report from the Center for Public Education, the answer is to take more difficult and higher level courses, particularly in math and science.  The study found that completing Trigonometry instead of stopping at Algebra II increased the chance of being accepted from 52 to 57 percent.  Students who took Pre-calculus increased their chances to 79 percent.  (source: College Bound, vol. 24, no. 9; May 2010)
